Maternity Must Haves

You are pregnant and not showing yet. All of your pre-pregnancy clothes still fit and you can't quite imagine what you will need as far as maternity clothes and gear goes. Here is a list, not comprehensive by any means, but it makes a good dent in what you will need to make it through the next nine months.
Comfortable clothes: You do not have to buy a new wardrobe, but as your body changes and your belly grows you will need comfortable clothes. Some people choose to buy a few maternity pants at a time, as your ever-growing belly sometimes needs more room than your planned for. Stretchy cotton shirts are comfortable and versatile, so a few of those are good to have. If you work outside the house, you'll need a few work staples, but don't go overboard. Remember, you'll only wear maternity clothes for a short while, so shop for affordable maternity clothing at online auctions, like www.mommyauctions.com. Sites like these allow you to dress in the current fashion without breaking your budget.
Comfortable shoes: Your body changes during pregnancy, which can make tying shoes difficult in the last few months, but did you know your feet might change, too? Pay attention to how your shoes feel, and if they get tight, move up to the next size. After pregnancy your feet may go back to their previous dainty selves, but they may not.
Good support bras: Again, your body changes as your baby grows, and your breasts will get much larger and heavier than normal. Buy a couple of good support bras, often checking for fit. As your chest grows, move into the correct size to support it. In your last month, if you plan to breast-feed your baby, buy a couple of good, supportive nursing bras. These are different from regular bras, as they easily allow your baby access to nurse without you having to completely remove the bra.
While there are so many more things that are nice to have when you are pregnant, there are not many things you must have. However, for comfort and rest, you might want to buy a body pillow. You can arrange it around your pregnant belly or use it to support your back and legs while resting. If your belly gets uncomfortably (and that term is used loosely) large, you might consider a baby bellyband. It sits low around your abdomen and supports your belly so your back doesn't have to do all the work.
